The town of Glarus has plenty of little shops and restaurant and is only five minutes away.A number of shopping mall in the region.Driving one hour you reach Zurich or on the other side the designer outlet of Landquart.
For the secondhand market and antiques lovers two shops are nearby.

The two ski area of Elm and Braunwald are reachable in twenty minutes by car.Flumserberg with over 65 km of ski slopes is 40 minutes away.

Plenty of track start from Schwändi.At our guests disposal are six full suspension mountain bike.

In town is a small public swimming-pool.Five minutes down the road there is a bigger swimming-pool with few small water slide.In less than 30 minutes are two nice lakes.In 40 minutes you reach the Acquapark Alpamare in Pfäffikon.Might be a solution in a raining day.One hour away is the thermal center of Bad ragaz.

Schwändi is a good starting point to several trekking.
